You need a hobby. Like an actual hobby. One that you do. One that you LIKE to do.
Yes, you are a mom. But you're not ONLY a mom.
Yes, you are a business owner. But you're not ONLY a business owner.
Yes, you are a wife. But you're not only a wife.
Yes, you are a <INSERT SOMETHING HERE>. But there's more to you.
Hobbies are good for your soul. They're good for your heart. They're good for your brain. You need a hobby.
It is so damn easy to tell ourselves we don't need a hobby, we don't have time for a hobby, we're too busy for a hobby or we don' t have money for a hobby.
But honestly, those are all just freaking excuses.
You need an ACTUAL hobby. I'm not talking about your daily workout. I am not talking about your personal development reading. I am not talking about date night. I am not talking about listening to a business podcast. I am not talking about the volunteer work you do. Those activities are not your hobby.
Start small and schedule time for your hobby. Put it on the calendar. For me, if it goes on the calendar, it gets done. This blog goes on the calendar now, and shocker, it gets done. 45 minutes a week for gardening, 30 minutes a week for crafting, an hour horseback riding lesson twice a month. Maybe you take up a hobby you had as a child - playing the piano, sewing, baking, singing, horseback riding, gardening, crafting, playing soccer, playing cards, ice skating, brewing beer, dance, swimming.
Once you commit to yourself and get it on the schedule, even if it's just once a month, you'll eventually add more. I just know it. And then you'll wonder how you ever lived without your...
I have a few hobbies I rotate throughout the year. I really enjoying crafting and creating with the Cricut. I love baking, my stand mixer is the best. I love swimming. I enjoy playing with sourdough starter. During this time of year I spend my hobby time decorating for holidays, creating fun decor - and of course watching all the college football. Go Gators!

This is something I really need to work on. I saw in your email you want to start playing tennis...I have been wanting to learn how to play Pickleball which is similar to tennis for over a year! Probably close to two years now. Fun Fact I played on the tennis team in high school!
I have seen lots of options for open play but not any for lessons so I need to look into hiring a private coach so I can learn how to play. I think it would be a great hobby plus I will get the exercise I am not getting and need to be getting.
